She guesses that he and his friends are part of a group of people who have been preying on the populace of New Orleans. Desperate to escape her life, she asks him to kill her, as well.   • Javier Vachon and his friends, Bourbon and Screed, are in a nightclub in New Orleans, enjoying the entertainment. A lovely young singer, Urs, moves through the audience, flirting professionally, until she spots Vachon. The fact that she clearly targets the rest of her song to him rouses jealousy in her patron, Lemieux. That night, Lemieux confronts Urs with his feelings about her behaviour. Saying that, if he can't have her then no one will, he threatens her with a knife. Suddenly, Vachon grabs and drains him. Urs is appalled by the violent attack. However, his demeanour towards her is very different. She guesses that he and his friends are part of a group of people who have been preying on the populace of New Orleans. Desperate to escape her life, she asks him to kill her, as well. However, Vachon decides instead to bring her over.
