| - There are three different Christians; (1) Christian: the dead one from Sydney (2) "Christian": the apparition on the Island (3) Jack's hallucination out of guilt for not intervening to help his father before he died.
* 1), 2) & 3) According to the producers, there is no literal resurrection of the dead on the Island.
* Is that why Sayid died and then came back to life later? Is that not a resurrection?
* The MiB resurrected him, not the Island.
* 1) We know Christian is dead, he was in the morgue in Sydney.
* 2) When "Christian" is seen on the island by people who did not know Christian Shephard in life (e.g. Locke, Hurley, Miles), this is evidence that "Christian" is somehow an apparition that exists independent of the memories that anyone has of him.
* Counter-evidence for 2) Unlike the Yemi-apparition that admitted not to being Yemi, Christian asked Locke to "say hi to his son" at the end of "This Place is Death" which means that he actually is Christian Shephard. Otherwise Christian's request would have no relevance to the storyline at all since Locke doesn't even know who he is talking about.
* But it is clear that the Man in Black takes on a part of the personality of people he assumes. For instance, the MiB impersonating Locke shouts "Don't tell me what I can't do!" to the young Jacob apparition.
* One of the "Christians" we have seen is Jacob's agent or Jacob himself. It may yet be shown that Jacob either possesses the power to actually resurrect humans from death (his encounter with Locke after his fall in "The Incident" hints at this possibility), or to a lesser degree, can also create his own apparitions like the Smoke Monster (Jacob's nemesis?). This can also be denoted further in accounting for Christian's appearance when dressed in the suit and shoes he was to be buried in, it was either a Smoke Monster apparition or Jack hallucinating, assuming that the "look" and "physical substance" of the Smoke Monster apparitions are limited by the amount of information it can casually observe or "download" from a living person's memories (See more about this in Smoke Monster Theories). Whereas, when we see Christian dressed more casually (dress shirt and slacks), it is an apparition created by an entity which had greater contact with the eventual host. This will be further substantiated if we find that Jacob had some sort of contact with Christian Shephard, off-Island, before Christian's death.
* Christian in suit doesn't physically interact with people unlike Christian in jumpsuit (interaction with Sun and Frank) or black dress shirt (holding Aaron). So there is a split in apparitions, the physical apparition is Nemesis and the spirit apparition is either Jacob or actual spirit of Christian.
* The apparition of Christian is not Jacob, but Jacob's nemesis. Note that, for example, "resurrected" Locke and Christian never appear together.
* 1) & 3) He's dead and the fact that Jack mentions him being alive more than once is a plot element used by the writers to convince you it is indeed a flashback instead of revealing too early that it is a flashforward in Through the Looking Glass. Jack was obviously drunk in the scenes where he mentions his father in this episode, and so would not be in his right mind.
* 3) Jack's hallucination of Christian off the island is MiB who possesses the power, like Jacob, to physically leave the island. This may also explain the apparitions of Charlie that Hurley sees off the island. This leads to the presumption that when MiB says that he wants to "leave" the island that he's not just speaking of physically leaving the island, but is referring to crossing over to the afterlife as the losties refer to "leaving" in the final episode.
* The writers make this aspect of the show confusing on purpose, mixing dreams, visions and hallucinations of the same characters. However, if you watch carefully, characters will often specify a reason for why they see apparitions (e.g. stress, dehydration, lack of sleep). The only way to be sure an apparition is "real" in any sense is if that character is backed-up by another character who does not have a history with the person appearing as the apparition (e.g. when Sawyer confirms that Kate's vision of the black horse is real, or when Locke sees Christian in Cabin Fever).
- Yo creo que es AJ, ya que por mas que le halla aparecido a Michael afuera de la isla debe ser que por mas que no pueda escapar puede llegar hasta un punto determinado ya que el puede ir en canoa hasta la isla Hidra y en ese momento tambien sale de la isla principal. Aun no creo que el Antijacob sea el por alguna razones, por ejemplo en el capitulo en el que se le aparece a michael en el carguero como llego hasta ayi si se supone que el no puede cruzar el agua. ademas nadie ha dicho que el antijacob no pueda mentir. mas bien yo creo que lo controla la entidad que hace tambien aparecer a walt por ejemplo(que no tiene ninguna razon para aparecerse pues no esta muerto ni en la isla).Toxicrobat 01:47 23 may 2010 (UTC)
* Christian Shepard es el mismo...le preguntaron a 1 guionista de la serie sobre la reencarnacion y contesto que podia ser la clave de esta historia pero tb solto que no tiene porque resucitar igual a como era antes...incluso pone el ejemplo de la pelicula "el cementerio viviente" que una vez que resucitas te vuelves un poco cabron. con esto creo que esta aliado con el nemesis de Jacob, le ayuda a salir de la cabaña que estaba confinado, termina de convencer a locke para k se suicide y asi nemesis coger su cuerpo...en definitiva le ayuda a buscar el "atajo" para matar a jacob.
* En el Mobisoide So it Begins se lo ve con Vincent, y él le dice "Ve a despertar a mi hijo. Está inconsciente, tirado por allí. Él tiene trabajo que hacer." Esto podría ser
* Una visión del Humo Negro
* Podría ser que él haya revivido al caerse el avión, pero ésto no explicaría cómo sabe él que Jack está tirado allí
* Pudo haber sufrido una catalepsia fuera de la isla, y despertar en esta.
* Las alucinaciones que sufre Jack en la isla con su padre podrían ser producidas por la propia isla. Es decir, son un medio para guiar a Jack hasta Las Cuevas y el agua que encuentran allí, para que pudieran sobrevivir.
* Las alucinaciones que ve Jack en la isla puede ser el humo negro en la forma de su padre
* Puede que el este vivo gracias a la milagrosa isla y este viviendo en la comunidad de los otros sin el conocimiento de que su hijo este vivo
* El cuerpo de su padre nunca llego a la isla, en el aeropuerto no permitieron que Jack lo subiera al avion, es un fantasma, tal como la madre de Ben
* Puesto que él es el abuelo de Aaron, Jacob podría ser su bisabuelo.(Recordemos que el Aaron bíblico es tataranieto de Jacob)
* Sin embargo, científicamente es imposible que alguien llegue a una edad tan avanzada, sobre todo en un ambiente tan hostil como lo es la Isla.
* Pero no podemos olvidar a Richard Alpert quien al parecer no envejece.
* Su nombre significa casi literalmente Pastor cristiano
* Lo resucitó jacob para ayudarle
* Obviamente, sobre el final de la serie, este personaje va a tener un rol decisivo (por no decir que es él el que esta detrás de todo lo que pasó en la serie) ya que es demasiada casualidad que muchas cosas giren en torno a él (Claire, Aaron, Sawyer, Ana Lucia, Jack, etc.) y que encima haya resucitado y aparecido en la cabaña de jacob.
* Cuando Jack está en el hospital, el detector de humos se enciende, Jack lo apaga y ve a su padre, es decir, Christian podría ser el humo negro que ha tomado su forma.
* Pudo haber estado en La Isla en el pasado, y esta viajando en el tiempo.
* Cuando Jack escucha la voz de su padre que dice "Dejalo ir" es muy probable que se refiera a Ben Linus, como aviso para que no lo salve, pues parece que estos dos personajes, Cristian y Ben son antagonicos. Aunque claro "Let it go" se refiere a algo y no a alguien, puede aplicarse a la operacion en si.
* despues de hacer tantas congeturas hemos descubierto parte del paradero de Christian en el capitulo the last recuit sobre como es que esta en la isla y porque se le aparece a jack. Hemos visto como AJ explica a jack que es el quien habia tomado el cuerpo muerto de Christian cuando llega el Oceanic 815 a la isla como así tambien en la vuelta con el Ajira 316 toma el cuerpo muerto de locke para relacionarse con los supervivientes.
* no estoy seguro de que el humo negro sea el por algunas razones por ejemplo en el capitulo donde se le aparece a michel en el carguero(como llego hasta ayi si el no puede atravesar el oceano) tambien cuando se le aparece a jack fuera de la isla( aunque pudo haber sido una alucinacion) y tambien cuando le muestra la foto de namaste a sun y lapidus en los barracones(si en esos momentos el antijacob estaba en el cuerpo de locke(aunque en esos momentos no habia muerto jacob, asi que pudo haber cambiado por un momento))Toxicrobat 01:54 23 may 2010 (UTC) Yo creo que es tan fácil como interpretar su nombre literalmente: "Christian Shephard" "Pastor Cristiano". Ya esta. Es un personaje que se dedica a esparcir fé y suscitarla (uno la necesita cuando se le ve vivo y coleando después de que se insista en su estado de muerto). No hay ninguna justificación científica detrás de este personaje ni, probablemente, de toda la serie. Simplemente, mitología (y tan amalgamada que incluso ofende).62.43.52.82 11:06 12 jun 2010 (UTC) Edito: Nose el que escribió esto que serie ha visto, el padre de jack siempre estubo muerto, solo era el humo negro, guiandoles para conseguir su objetivo, matar a jacob y salir de la isla, lo mismo pasa con la madre de ben, era el humo negro guiando a ben, para conseguir este mismo objetivo..
