  • Campaign mode is a game mode found in all Battlefront games except the DICE Remake, and there is a story within all of them. Each level has certain objectives that must be obtained in order to win and move on to the next level. In the original game, the only objective is to either capture all command posts, or drop all enemy reinforcements down to zero. Below are synopses of each level in the campaign modes of either game. The 501st Journal details the campaign in Battlefront II via cut scenes, narrated by a retired clone veteran.
  • Campaign mode is a mission based component of Galactic Civilizations II. By playing through the missions of the campaign the player uncovers the story of the Dread Lords. Each mission presents the player with specific mission objectives that can differ from normal victory objectives. The difficulty level can be adjusted for each mission, allowing the user to challenge themselves as much (or as little) as they wish. The campaign is non-linear. The player can lose one scenario and go on an alternative scenario instead. Mission descriptions below. Contains spoilers.
  • Campaign is a gameplay mode featured in every Ace Combat game ever released. It allows the player to play through an entire story campaign of missions, typically in a linear order.
  • The campaign for games in the Age of Empires series is a mode based on a series of scenarios centered on historical or mythical events, featuring cinematic cutscenes, story elements, set objectives, and unique units. The Campaign Editor allows players to create custom campaigns.
  • Campaigns are the main single-player portion of the game. This includes many main-line campaigns, as well as additional “add-on” campaigns that are under the course of de-bugging. Campaigns follow the course of Wesnoth’s history, from King Haldric’s escape from Green Isle to Wesnoth to the Elves’ escape from a desertified Wesnoth.
  • There are 9 campaign levels in Platform Racing 2. Each one is unlockable once you rise a level. For example: You can play Newbieland 2 starting at level 0. Mario Bros. remix v.1.3(time attack) is unlocked at level one, Soul Temple at level at level two, Etc. (although Hat Factory is only accesible at level 15+)

  • A campaign is a large, often epic, story that spans numerous single adventures and ties them together into a cohesive and meaningful whole. A campaign is usually composed of multiple modules (or chapters), with each module automatically starting as the preceding one ends. Usually, the order in which the modules are played is preset, but there may be less linear play within a module. There are three official campaigns (developed by BioWare) that were included with Neverwinter Nights and its two expansion packs.
  • Campaign mode is the story driven gamemode of almost all Halo games, where potentially multiple players take control of one or more playable characters at a time, through the canonical story of the Halo Universe.
  • The chance of winning an attack is based on your fortress power vs the enemy's defence. Winning an attack allows you to launch another attack in three hours, but losing an attack takes 12 hours to replenish the troops needed. You can improve your offensive stat by upgrading your Fortress buildings. To calculate your total campaign offence stat, use Troop Number*Weapons*Armor

  • Infinity Wars features a Campaign mode where players can play a variety of missions against AI opponents. Missions may be replayed at any time. There are currently 11 campaign missions. On 3 March 2016, a developer commented, "New PVE campaign missions are coming. We have about 30 missions that have been coded already, we are in the process of redoing the entire PVE campaign map, UI/UX because we felt the existing one was not doing a good job. These new missions will also come with free deck rewards for completion of key missions." [1]
  • Campaigns are an organized number of quests and linking steps leading to a complete story for Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition). A campaign is done with the help of a Quest Guide, and is characterized by the division of Act I and Act II quests, the use of a map, the use of travel steps and travel cards, the use of gold, the granting of quest rewards, and the adquisition of experience points for the continuous upgrading of cards for both heroes and Overlord. There are currently four full campaigns:
  • The single-player campaign represents the story mode of Frontlines: Fuel of War, and tells the story of the Western Coalition's 'Stray Dogs' division as they fight against the Red Star Alliance. The war started after a global energy crisis pushed the world into a global economic depression worse than the Great Depression of the 1930s.
  • A campaign is a group of adventures, sometimes analogous to a season in a TV series, other times equivalent to the entire series. A campaign traditionally follows the adventures of a group of Player Characters (PCs). Usually the campaign starts with the characters’ first adventure together, and sometimes takes them right to their last. In one campaign I ran under the AD&D™ rules, the PCs started out as brash young first-level bravoes tackling their first adventure together under the sponsorship of a small frontier Baron who was recruiting adventurers to clear out non-humans who were raiding the borders of his territory. Twelve real-world years later, the characters (now ranging from 18th to 23rd level) had their last adventure together as the Gods called them up to fight in Ragnarok.
  • In Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, players take control of Splinter Cell agent Sam Fisher, who was part of the Splinter Cell Program started under the top secret branch under the National Security Agency, Third Echelon. In Splinter Cell and Pandora Tomorrow, the player would play in mostly linear levels with objectives they'd have to complete. In Chaos Theory, the levels were not open world, but were slightly more open than the previous games, as well as including secondary objectives that were optional, but would sometimes affect later mission objectives.
  • A Campaign is a series of scenarios, tied together by a common story and usually one or more recurring heroes. Each game and expansion in the Heroes and the Chronicles series came with a number of campaigns as means to tell the title's story. All the events happening in the campaigns are considered canonical, except the ones from Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Price of Loyalty. Sometimes, completing a campaign is mandatory to play a campaign whose story is a direct continuation of the first's. Each game has a Campaign Editor that allowed players to create their own custom campaigns.
  • Using Cavernous Maws, players transport themselves twenty years in past. The Republic of Bastok, The Kingdom of San d'Oria and The Federation of Windurst's armies are available to join and players may sign up to one. Collectively the nations forces are named the Allied Forces of Altana. Battles and skirmishes frequently happen throughout the land and after receiving the effect of Sigil the player may participate in them.
  • A "campaign" (or "chapter" - see notes) is a major component of the Guild Wars game series. Each of the first three campaigns is stand-alone game, and does not require any previous campaigns of Guild Wars to play. These campaigns and must be purchased individually as a full game, although they can be "linked" to a single account, allowing characters on that account to travel between the campaigns. The fourth Guild Wars release, Eye of the North, is an expansion rather than a standalone game, meaning only players who already own one of the original three campaigns are able to play it.
  • A campaign is a group of modules linked together and sharing resources through a campaign folder. The Official campaign is an example of a campaign. Here is how to create a basic campaign using the campaign editor plug-in: Global variables from any module can be read from within the campaign, so any quest variables that span modules should be as global variables.
  • A campaign is a number of adventures tied together into a bigger story arc. Campaigns can be designed to consist of many adventures, or as few as a single super adventure. Many published campaigns are available. Some published campaigns are standalone campaigns, allowing a Dungeon Master to start one where another leaves off, in any level appropriate sequence. An Adventure Path, on the other hand, is a lengthy campaign consisting of adventures published sequentially in serial format, such as in Dragon magazine, designed to be played from start to finish. DMs can also opt to run a homebrew campaign of their own invention.
  • You play as a raw recruit for the United Systems military. You start after the first successful takeover by the Alliance of their first planet Flonares, you help with mop up operations to start with. Then you fight as a standard battle tank helping the US to take over more planets in the system, get given more specialist roles, in no time you have the Halon Empire defeated.
  • The Campaign is the story mode of Metroid Prime: Federation Force. The Campaign consists of 22 missions across three planets in the Bermuda System: Excelcion, Talvania and Bion. Player(s) control the four members of the Federation Force, elite GFMC troops, as they investigate Space Pirate activity in the Bermuda System with assistance from Samus Aran. The Campaign can be played with other players or alone, although the difficulty is scaled to four players and does not adjust for any less than that.
  • In the original Battle for Middle-earth, the Campaign follows the plot of the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. There are mandatory missions, and lands that the player can choose to attack. Unlike the films, Gandalf is able to survive the conflict with the Balrog, Boromir his battle with the Uruk-hai, and Theoden his confrontation with the Witch-king at the Pelennor Fields.
