| - History of this race is unknown.
- There are at least two different species of ogres, which vary in appearance and personality. The Vine Jungle is home to ogres that resemble Bakull. They are solitary creatures that are not shown to be capable of speaking or using tools. In contrast, a mountain between Baron Grod's fortress and the Royal Palace is home to a tribe of ogres that more closely resemble oversized orks. They are capable of speech and employ advanced weapons and technology, including laser rifles and one-man flying ships.
- Ogres are one of the original races to populate Krynn. Once a beautiful and highly advanced people with a culture unrivaled throughout Krynn, they were once favored above all others by Takhisis. Now they are cast down and despised by most of the people of Krynn.
- They are very strong and they are able to carry heavy things such as rocks by using their bare hands.
- Ogres are in the game Blast RPG.
- Ogres (Orc.: "Drangu") were a mysterious race of Old. Ancient manuscripts translated the elvish word Ork (orq-) as Monster, Ogre, Demon. The only known Ogre from History was the Ogress Ulbandi, or Fluithuin. It is til today debated if the Ogres were huge Orcs, fallen Maiar, a subrace of the Giants or maybe all three of it, and identical with the Boldogs, Maiarin spirits that took the form of giant Orcs. Two tribes or breeds of Ogres were known in the old days, the northern Hongwir and the Sarqindi, from Islands of the South.
- Ogres were found in the Dungeon of Dorukan. It was known that at least one female Ogre made use of a Girdle of Feminity/Masculinity and fought as a man. A band of Ogres had captured a Village man but the Order of the Stick eliminated them and brought the man back to his wife.
- Ogres were a race mentioned only fleetingly once, in The Hobbit.
- Ogres are often mistaken for "lesser" demons but are a separate bestial species from man inhabiting the Jade Empire. When fought as enemies, they are very strong, but also slow.
- Ogre is a fierce beast said to be left behind by aliens. He has three different forms:
* Ancient Ogre - The basic form of Ogre that appeared as the sub-boss of Tekken 3.
* True Ogre - The powered up form of Ancient Ogre that appeared as the final boss of Tekken 3.
* Monstrous Ogre - The non-canon final form of Ogre that appeared in the Tekken 5 Devil Within mini-game as the final boss.
- The Ogres are not a playable race in Arcanum, however the offspring between ogre and human, the Half-Ogres, are.
- The Ogres are Duke Igthorn's minions and the secondary antagonists in Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears.
- Ogres are a wild and uncivilized race who dwell in the wilderness of the Great Continent. Physically, they resemble Humans and Orcs but are larger and stronger. Even their adolescents are more then a match for most men. Orges are distrusted in many populated areas and usually either avoid them or are driven out by force. Instead, they lurk in the mountainous areas on the edges of civilization, where hungry ogre bandits provide a constant threat to travelers and caravans. While ogres are not particularly intelligent or quick, their toughness and physical strength make them a valuable asset in the armies of other races. They are especially valued by more ruthless commanders who don't mind the ogres' brutality. Little is known about their biology or society, if they can truly be said to have
- Ogres generally resemble humans with taller and bulkier bodies that give them greater strength than most humans. However, ogres are rather limited in their intelligence, which is usually displayed in how they act and speak. They also have strong appetites, able to eat things that would normally be inedible to humans, such as rocks.
- Ogres are a metavariant of Orks. They are shorter and squatter than most orks, often possessing larger obese phenotypes. This is possibly due to an efficient digestive system. They also possess stockier jaws and larger mouths than typical orks. Ogres originated in Germany and France, but are prevalent throughout Europe, composing approximately thirty percent of the European Ork population.
