The Warrior was the first Warrior-class gunship to be produced under the New Republic's New Class Modernization Program for starships. It was then assigned to the inaugural New Republic Fifth Fleet. The Warrior was a perimeter patrol ship for the New Republic Fifth Fleet in 17 ABY, shortly before the Battle of N'zoth. The entire Fifth Fleet had been assembled, and it was necessary to station warships along the perimeter to prevent intrusion and detection by Yevethan probes. It did not find any Yevethan intruders, and instead, detected the Verpine Adventurer Mud Sloth, which was carrying Luke Skywalker and Akanah Norand Goss Pell. The Warrior intercepted it, and the captain of the gunship communicated with the Mud Sloth and found the identity of the pilot.

abstract
  • The Warrior was the first Warrior-class gunship to be produced under the New Republic's New Class Modernization Program for starships. The Warrior communicated with the Endurance-class fleet carrier Intrepid, flagship of the New Republic Fifth Fleet, asking if Luke should be able to speak to the command staff as the Jedi wished. General Etahn A'baht spoke of his desire to meet the famous Jedi, and the Warrior escorted in the unwieldy civilian starship. This gunship survived the Battle of N'zoth.
