They meet downtown, later that evening she invites him to spend Christmas with her family. Darren said that he would but ends up luring Murlough into a trap involving Debbie and her family and Larten kills Murlough. She later appears as a school teacher in "Allies of the Night", 13 years later, making her about 25. She finds out about vampires and how Darren and his "father", Mr. Crepsley, are a pair of them. Later on in the series, Debbie joins the vampires, but stays human, using guns and other weapons vampires and others that have been blooded can't. She and an ex-police officer Alice Burgess start the vampires' version of Vampets, the Vampirites. Although still attracted to Darren from their past relationship, Debbie initially turns down his attempt to restart their relationship due to him still being a teenager in terms of physical appearance. However, when he begins to experience 'the purge' and grow older, Debbie suggests that they could restart their relationship once he has stabilized as an adult, but Darren sacrifices himself to stop Steve before they can take this any further. Debbie is described as being a pretty, short, joyful girl with dark hair and skin.
