Dan worked first for SSA Object Technology then moved to Intracus Limited, creators of Smartgroup, one of the world's first social networking services. He then worked for Gliant Ltd. Dan now lives in New Zealand where he founded NetProfess Limited and is Director of 1791 Diamonds Limited. He is a member of Natcoll's Curriculum Advisory Group and a professional member of the Designer’s Institute of New Zealand (DINZ). Dan is an advocate for educating and advancing the web development community in New Zealand and has helped establish a local developer community group of over 200 members. He has published articles and presentations on leading topics, and has led workshops for New Zealand tertiary education institutes.
