Like all bronze weapons, they can be wielded by all players, regardless of attack level. This weapon has a poisoned variant, which can be created by using weapon poison on it.

It outperforms the Dark/Glowing dagger, an artefact obtained during Legends' Quest, which has marginally superior accuracy bonuses but no strength bonus at all. It is the first weapon that players obtain, during the Smithing tutorial on Tutorial Island. Despite becoming seemingly obsolete as the player is given a bronze sword in the next section of the tutorial, the bronze dagger does have some usefulness during the Magic Instructor's task given its small magic attack bonus.
