The site is bound by Rotherhithe New Road, St Helena Road, Luxford Street and Warndon Street. To the east is the Silverlock Estate, to the south are the remaining blocks of the Silwood Estate, and on the opposite side of Luxford Street is Balman House. On the opposite side of Rotherhithe New Road is the Hawkstone Estate.

On the opposite side of Rotherhithe New Road is the Hawkstone Estate. Plans for Tissington Court were approved in 1967 and was completed in 1969 by J. & J. Dean. The complex consists of four large interconnected blocks of flats. Three blocks are 7 storeys tall, where as the other is 17 storeys tall, providing a total of 134 flats.
