- A maw luur was a giant slug-like creature engineered by the Yuuzhan Vong to be a living sewer system. They were immobile and simply grew and expanded into whatever space they were put in...which was usually underneath a large city. Thousands of Yuuzhan Vong would crap into the maw luur's mouth every day, sort of like someone we know.

They were immobile and simply grew and expanded into whatever space they were put in...which was usually underneath a large city. Thousands of Yuuzhan Vong would crap into the maw luur's mouth every day, sort of like someone we know. The maw luurs were the most miserable creatures in all of existence. I once asked a Buddhist friend of mine, "What kind of karma a person have to have, in order to be reincarnated as a maw luur?" He slapped me in the face and said, "That's Hinduism, not Buddhism, you idiot." So I asked a Hindu friend of mine the same question, and he said, "Not even Hitler would be reincarnated as something that disgusting." Huh. Then I asked him if karma was strictly a Hindu concept or whether Buddhists believed in it too, and he said, "What? No, no, Buddhists believe in karma. Why?" "No reason," I said, and the next day I beat the crap out of my Buddhist friend for lying to me.
