The Kinbou province (So1) was the westernmost Soshi province extending from the southernmost border of the Unicorn provinces, to the northernmost borders of the Yuma (So3) and Ryoko provinces (Sh1), and from the An'ei province (So2) to the River of Gold and the plains that separated to the Shinomen Forest. Notable locations within the province were the villages of Pokau (S1), Ashio (S17), the First Breath Dojo (S15) and the Shrine of the Shadow's Eye (S16). The northern half has rugged hills, heavily wooded, while the southern half of the province was lowland and boasted a fair number of rice paddies.
