Barack Hussein Obama was the 44th president of the United States, serving from 2009 until the expiration of his second term in 2017. He is widely remembered for the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq and Afghanistan, ending the Bush/Reagan Recession, Project Greenlight, and restoring US credibility throughout the world (particularly the Islamic World). He is, however, criticized for his minimal involvement in the Greater Middle Eastern War, which many say prolonged the five-year-long war, along with the watering down of the Universal Healthcare Act.
