René Eijer (Den Helder, 1 January 1963) is a former Dutch footballer and is now trainer/coach. E made on 22 may 1982 during an away game at FC Utrecht his debut in the professional football at Sparta. He then plays in a team with Danny Blind and Louis van Gaal.He played six seasons in the first team of Sparta in which he played 137 League and scored 11 times. In 1987 he moved to VVV where he stayed for two seasons and then further his career at Vitesse. He would play four years for Vitesse and ended up with that club in all those years every once in the top 5 of the Eredivisie. He played 128 League games for Vitesse in which he scored 13 times. E played a total of 21 UEFA-Cupwedstrijden, 10 with Sparta and 11 with Vitesse.

E recovered quickly from there, especially when it became apparent that it is a mild form of MS.After his active career began a career outside the East football, but soon he returned and started as a trainer of the A1 of Fortuna Sittard. After five years he went East toPSV where Fortuna Young PSV EINDHOVEN and PSV under 19 years trained. After three years of PSV was under more assistant E Aad de Mos at the national football team of the United Arab Emirates, went for VVV-Venlo analyses and gave Japanin Netherlands and hosted football clinics . E since 1995 is in the possession of the diploma Coach Betaald Voetbal and was in the season 2008/09 coach of the women's national football team by Roda JC. In 2012 is E working in Oman as a trainer of the national team under 19 years.
