John Mills (February 22, 1908 - April 23, 2005), born Lewis Ernest Watts Mills, was an English actor, best known for playing Father Robinson in Swiss Family Robinson. Mills also made a cameo in the 1961 movie The Parent Trap (starring his daughter, Hayley) as Mitch Evers' Golf Caddy. In 2002, he was named a Disney Legend, four years before his daughter was named one.

Mills ensaya sobre el manejo de las abejas, sobre los métodos para segar panales con miel sin matar la colonia de abejas en la colmena. Propuso y trabajó en la Encyclopédie con Gottfried Sellius, natural de Gdańsk, que, después de ser profesor en Halle y Göttingen y de residir en los Países Bajos, y en París. Mills y Sellius propusieron originalmente simplemente traducir los artículos de la Cyclopaedia del francés.
