- In episode 209 of The Muppet Show, Kermit says that he's gotten a lot of letters asking if frogs can tap dance. In response he sings and dances to "Happy Feet". Ironically, the audience never sees his feet during the number. Instead multiple Kermits are seen on the screen at the same time, but all from the waist up. The song was also performed by Kermit in the stage shows The Muppet Show: On Tour! and Muppets on Location: Days of Swine and Roses. He also sings the song with a frog-legged Bobby Moynihan in The Muppets Take the Bowl.

- Happy Feet. You will be assimilated. You will dance in step with The Machine. Here, you are not a penguin, you are an arm of the State; cast aside your individualist ideology. You exist only to dance, and dance for the State. Ein Pinguine, ein Reich, ein Führer!
- Though primarily an animated film, Happy Feet does incorporate motion capture of live action humans in certain scenes. The film was simultaneously released in both conventional theatres and in IMAX 2D format. The studio had hinted that a future IMAX 3D release was a possibility. However, Warner Bros., the film’s production company, was on too tight a budget to release Happy Feet in IMAX digital 3D. The film was dedicated in memory of Nick Enright, Michael Jonson, Robby McNeilly Green, and Steve Irwin.
- Last year, the documentary film March of the Penguins, made waves both critically and at the box office. It was a celebration of nature, of life, danger, and death as seen through the eyes of Emperor Penguins in the Antarctica. If you had seen that documentary, then the first 10 minutes of Happy Feet will be familiar territory, as it probably summarized a whole lot of the mating game, into the introductory act. - Ben Affleck also voiced the gay penguin. The movie was created with the sole purpose of making The Baby Jesus cry. 1.
* it is animated — children love animated movies and The Baby Jesus is America's greatest child 2.
* it is about non-bear furry animals — children love non-bear furry animals and The Baby Jesus loves everything except bears 3.
* it stars Carlos Alazraqui, the man who voiced the Taco Bell chihuahua in those commercials — children love yappy, pathetic, shivering beasts smaller than they are because it makes them feel important and The Baby Jesus is no different. His Father is always trying to make him feel bad about being raised by a single mom and everything...
