He earned some callups to the Detroit Red Wings those two seasons, playing in 11 season and playoff games. He played 50 games for the Wings in 1949-50, scoring 17 points, then spent most of the next two seasons in the minors with occasional callups to the Wings. Sclisizzi won the Stanley Cup in 1952 with Detroit. When the cup was redone during the 1957-58 season, for some reason his name was omitted from the new verision, but his name can still be seen on the original 1952 Detroit team graving in the Hockey Hall of Fame. In 1952 he was traded to the Chicago Black Hawks and played 14 games for them in 1952-53. Thst marked the end of his NHL career. Sclisizzi played another six pro seasons, mostly in the Western Hockey League (minor pro). He retired in 1959.
