Synopsis
| - The Blight has brought its plans for domination and death to Tamaran, subjugating its people and planning to use the bodies of the Tamaranean dead to birth their offspring. However, they are not expecting the two lost princesses, Koriand'r and Komand'r to return, and take their planet back.
The girls are helped by their male companions Jason Todd and Roy Harper. In addition, the crew of the H.M.S.S. Starfire have a plan. First mate Depalo opens a line of communication with the Blight command ship, and prepares to teleport aboard to negotiate his surrender. However, the plan is a sham. He commands K'tten to set the ship to self-destruct within the next two minutes before fully evacuating everyone but himself. As he waits for the self-destruct sequence to complete, he remembers the moment when Koriand'r told him of her decision to leave the ship and seek out solace in another place, away from Tamaran. With seconds left, he asks the Blight command to lower their shields to prepare for his teleportation, and in the same moment that they do, the ship explodes, causing the blight mothership to blow up as well.
On Tamaran, Koriand'r realizes that Depalo has sacrificed himself, and wishes him luck in the afterlife. The loss fuelled Komand'r's battle rage, and she fought furiously, until suddenly, a javelin thrown by the Blight Lord skewered her. This makes Koriand'r especially angry, and she loses the will to hold back her power. She unleashes a blast of fire that practically razes the planet of the Blight, leaving her allies stunned.
They lose sight of her for a moment, until they spot her, with the Blight Lord in her grasp. Coldly, she reminds that pain and suffering are easy to feel and to inflict. Love, however, is much more difficult. She kisses him on the mouth, filling his body with her fire, and charring him from the inside out.
One week later, an injured Komand'r was on the mend and ruling once more, though she insisted that it was Koriand'r who should have been sitting on the thrown. She begs Koriand'r to stay and rule by her side, but her sister explains that her friends, need her. Among humans like Jason and Roy, she has found happiness and maybe love. Though she appears happy for her sister, Komand'r worries that the gathering of the Thirteen still looms like a dark cloud over their future.
K'tten has become commander of the new ship, named in honour of Depalo's sacrifice. Kori, Roy, Jason and his uncomfortable date Isabel, all make for to travel back to Earth, happy that their bond of friendship has grown.
Meanwhile, back in Kori's island home, the Joker makes his move.
