Kukkiwon/ World Taekwondo Federation (WTF)-style taekwondo does not have a standard, proscribed set of beginner poomsae (forms). Different Kukkiwon/WTF-affiliated schools use different introductory forms. The first form defined by Kukkiwon/WTF is Taegeuk Il Jang but many schools prefer to introduce simpler, school-defined forms for beginning students. These forms are often called kicho hyung (also spelled kicho hyeong) or kibon poomsae. Both phrases translate to English as "basic form." Typical examples of beginner forms include: * Kibon Hana (1) * Kibon Dool (2) * Kibon Set (3)
