abstract
  • Cattiveria (Italian word for "wickedness") is the unique necromantic Discipline of the Sangiovanni bloodline. It grants them control over the energies of death, allowing them to animate corpses to do their bidding and perform other unholy acts. Cattiveria was developed as a replacement for the necromancy employed by the bloodline's founder, Lodovico Sangiovanni, before his Embrace. No longer able to employ mortal sorcery, Lodovico realised through his association with the Lancea Sanctum that the "animating force" which preserved vampires and could be loaned to living ghouls should also be able to enervate corpses and ectoplasm as well. He spent many years researching and perfecting the Discipline, and it resembles a scholarly pursuit in some ways more than black magic, despite its trappings.
