The Fomorian Disruptor must be equipped in the player's Gear menu before attempting to launch a mission against a Balor Fomorian; players will be unable to launch the mission without it. Once a player has entered the Balor Fomorian's interior, using the Fomorian Disruptor will remove the shielding from its power core, making it temporarily vulnerable to attack and consuming the Disruptor in the process. Only one Fomorian Disruptor activation is required to remove the power core's shield, though any other players in the mission will also have one Fomorian Disruptor consumed each.
