  • At the beginning of most modes, a few opponents at a very low level will spawn. As more are defeated, they will become more aggressive, and the number of opponents that can spawn at a time will increase, later spawning up to five opponents as more of them are defeated (when playing with four players in 3DS/Wii U, only four opponents will spawn at a time and the limit will never increase). The opponents vary between all games. In Melee, there are Fighting Wire Frames to fight. In Brawl, there are Fighting Alloys to fight. In 3DS/Wii U, there are Miis to fight.
