The Tof-Ssi-Ruu War is a conflict that may or may not have occurred in the Unknown Regions. Most of what is known about it comes from second-hand sources that were compiled by New Republic Intelligence. By all reports, the war started in 15 ABY when the Tof and the Ssi-Ruu clashed over resources on a series of uninhabited planets. The Ssi-Ruu were driven by their failing government and urgent need for resources, while the Tof were spilling for a fight and looking for a race that they could beat down on. As a result, the conflict between the two races escalated considerably.

By all reports, the war started in 15 ABY when the Tof and the Ssi-Ruu clashed over resources on a series of uninhabited planets. The Ssi-Ruu were driven by their failing government and urgent need for resources, while the Tof were spilling for a fight and looking for a race that they could beat down on. As a result, the conflict between the two races escalated considerably. The key point came at the Battle of Dalthos Prime where a large Tof Fleet supposedly ambushed and destroyed a smaller Ssi-Ruu force, breaking the back of their offensive. From there, the Tof drove the Ssi-ruu back towards the Imperium proper. At some point after that, the Imperium sued for peace. It is believed that this conflict contributed towards the fall of the Imperium, the P'w'eck uprising and its eventual takeover by the Vong.
