FuelPod2 is a machine that converts waste cooking oil into biodiesel fuel. It does this by using a chemical reaction that mixes the waste cooking oil with methanol. When the reaction is complete, biodiesel fuel is produced. The cooking oil is heated in a controlled heating tank prior to being mixed with methanol that is added from another tank. Fuelpod requires 10 liters of methanol per batch to create 50 liters of fuel. This process creates a byproduct called glycerin.
