It is down to the character of a player and his attitude.” Payne was a second-team All-RMAC athlete in his senior year and an honorable mention selection as a junior in 2003. He collected 185 career tackles and 10.5 sacks in his three seasons after he transferred from Eastern Arizona College. The Locos open the 2010 UFL season Sept. 17 at home in Sam Boyd Stadium in a rematch from the inaugural 2009 championship game.
