In the deep lands and hills of the land of Oka, meaning hill, there are many towns and villages. Most of these townships are poor and unable, while being weak with crops and economics. Some of them are richer than others. The land is ruled by the King Yoi II. One village though, stands out from the others. The famed Nōgyō family, known for their farming through the generations. Shin Nōgyō is the leader, and has 8 children and his spouse. "Shika, when is papa coming home?" asked a young Kyutso. "I can't wait!" replies Kyutso happily.

He should be home any minute, this has been a long week for him, especially the other families as well, as it is the middle of the summer and the crop is in good shape." replies his older sister bathing some clothes, Shika. "I can't wait!" replies Kyutso happily. Kyutso goes to jump around everywhere waiting for his father to return home, seeing and looking over the hill waiting for him.
