| - Is there someway we can make a list of common fanon traits or someway of identifying them in an easier manner? I relaize that a lot of this could be conjectural, but I myself have noticed these traits: 1.
* Extensive life span: Seems to have been active from before the Battle of Naboo to the Yuuzhan Vong War. 2.
* Jack of All Trades: Seems to have held multiple occupations in their rather long lifetime. 3.
* Force-sensitive fringer: Seems to have some rather powerful Force abilities, and is often times a bounty hunter or some other form of criminal. Has anyone else noticed any similar patterns in fanon they have found? -- SFH 18:21, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
* These are just traits I noticed: 1.
* If it's a fanon Jedi character from the Rise of the Empire era, they always seemed to be Padawans/associates of either Plo Koon, Kit Fisto or Mace Windu. For fanon set in the NR/NJO era, fanon Jedi were always hanging around with Kyle Katarn, Corran Horn or a ressurrected/never died at all Anakin Solo. 2.
* Fanon Jedi of all eras are extremely powerful in the Force, to the point of totally eclipsing the potential of canon characters such as Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, and Luke Skywalker/Leia Organa Solo. 3.
* Fanon Jedi are usually Jedi who have been banished from or voluntarily left the Jedi Order. Most of these usually turn to the dark side for one reason or another, and become an even greater threat to the safety of the galaxy than the Sith, Palpatine and the Yuuzhan Vong combined. 4.
* Minor characters from the movies that don't have their fate established in canon (most often, but not limited to, Jar Jar Binks, Panaka, and Ric OliƩ) have additions to their articles about how they have met their ends, usually in a ridiculous fashion. A variation on this is for the fanon spewer to insert a death date into the article with no explanation and no source. I'm sure there is more, and what I wrote above is most likely conjectural, but it is what I have noticed. I'll add more as I remember them. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 19:09, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
* The fanonized deaths have become a problem in recent weeks. -- SFH 01:16, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
* May I add that new articles about subjects spanning over the KOTOR era, or discussing links between it and movie or post-movie eras, are most likely fanon, with the era relatively undeveloped and almost all game entities already having articles. - Sikon [Talk] 06:32, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
