Ferrymen will teleport you to another city, at the cost of 1,000 gold for a one-way trip. Before you can teleport, you must have spoken to the Ferryman in the desired destination city - in other words, you cannot have the Eversun City Ferryman teleport you to Darkdale until you speak to the Ferryman in Darkdale. The Ferryman in the Guild Cottage cannot be used until the guild level is 22. Unlike the other Ferrymen, this one can teleport you to the locations found on a Go-Anywhere, not just major cities.

- The Ferryman of Skara Brae is met in Ultima VII. A mysterious and scary looking, yet peaceful entity waiting for people to use his services. The Ferryman was summoned by Horance when he called the dead of Skara Brae some time after Ultima VI. Since then, he would stay at the Ferry Station at the Misty Channel, to bring people from and to Skara Brae for a small fee. At least in the newly-rebuilt city of Skara Brae, he would have much company to brighten up his former lonely existence.
