He performed the role of Tom Baker's voicemail in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot, in which Baker himself did not appear except in archival footage from Shada. Although Peter Davison had contacted Baker three times, he did not reply to his e-mail; therefore, Peter decided to use Jon Culshaw in the project and that scene — according to his agent — turned out to be much better than the original scene that Peter had written. He also contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.
