- The game takes place in Kyrat, a fictional region based on the Himalayan regions of Nepal, ruled by the mad king Pagan Min. You play as Ajay Ghale; a Kyrati raised in America returning to his homeland to disperse his deceased mother's ashes, after leaving with his mother at age three. Ghale and his mother fled either to escape Min's regime or as punishment for his mother having apparently sired a daughter with Min some time before Ajay's birth. Just as he arrives in Kyrat, is he dragged into a civil war that is raging between Pagan Min and the rebel organisation known as the Golden Path. The player has free choice in choosing which force he sides with, both resulting in different endings.
- Far Cry 4 is the fourth game in the Far Cry series. The game is set in the fictional country of Kyrat, located in the Himalayan mountains. It was released on November 18, 2014 worldwide for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Pre-orders included an upgrade to the Limited Edition which included the Hurk's Redemption DLC featuring the popular character Hurk from Far Cry 3’s DLC "The Bundle Pack", the Hurk's Redemption also included a signature weapon called The Impaler.
