  • Gavin Sullivan is the 3rd husband of Kathy Beale. They married in South Africa in 2001. Kathy and Gavin were believed to have died in a car crash in February 2006 when the car they were travelling in was hit by a joyrider. It was however subsequently revealed in February 2015 that Kathy and Gavin were both alive. In August 2015, after Kathy arranged to meet Phil to begin planning her return to Walford, however the meeting was cancelled after Ian and Sharon followed Phil to St Pancras train station. Just as Kathy is leaving the station, Gavin stops her and tells her that he knows exactly what she's planning. In July 2016, Gavin makes a last-ditch attempt to salvage a relationship with his family by giving his grandson Dennis large amounts of money and also luring Kathy to his secluded countryside mansion. His plan is foiled by his sister Margaret and during an altercation between the two, Gavin accidentally kills Margaret by pushing her off an exterior balcony. Having witnessed the accident, Sharon tracks Gavin down and tries to convince him not to run and own up to his crimes on the promise that Sharon and Dennis will remain in his life. He ultimately decides to run but he is quickly arrested by the police for Margaret's death.
