| - A wolf will turn into a tamed wolf (often referred to as a dog) when given several File:ItemCSS.png Bones. A tamed wolf will have black eyes, opposed to the red-eyed aggressive wolves. A tamed wolf will also have a red collar around its neck, which can be dyed a different color by using the dye of the player's choice on the wolf itself. A tamed wolf will show its health with the position of its tail, the more elevated the tail, the greater the health. It will attack any mob that its owner attacks, acting as the player's side-kick. However, it won't attack creepers, and it can't enter The Nether.
- Taming is a city in Wayrest, High Rock.
- User has skill for taming (tolerant of sentient presence) and/or training (teaching specific responses to specific conditions or stimuli) creatures, possibly to the point of domestication.
- The Taming skill is used when summoning mounts. Double-click on a Tamer's Whistle to start. Higher Taming skill does not give better racial mounts.
- You can tame an animal by having it walk into a trap. This can be easily done by placing a crop next to or on top of a trap. After an animal gets caught in a trap, you can right-click it to feed it something. Animals will only eat crops, and they will not eat meat or berries. Only small animals can be caught in small traps, however a normal trap can catch any animal, including large. If you tame a sheep, you can shear it for its wool with a knife without killing it outright. It grows back. If you tame a cow, you can milk it with a bucket. If you tame a dog, you can use it to attack.
- You can tame every creature in Creativerse (as of R29 in March 2016) by using a Taming Collar. The crafting recipe for this will be unlocked by crafting/taking a Stone Mining Cell. You'll need a Processor to make Stone Rods, then only common grey Stone, Mushrooms and Flowers will have to be added, and voilĂ ! Most creatures will not be happy with being tamed and will either put up a fight, move around and/or run away, so you will have to use different strategies to make them hold still and/or let your character survive the whole time you'll need for taming.
- Taming is a skill Clerics, Wizards, Rangers and Druids can use, but only druids can get beyond level 3. This skill allows you to befriend an animal and have it fight for you. While you are not playing, your pet rests in the Stable. To claim it, you can use the command "Claim". If you have more than one pet in the stable "Claim #pet name". To make it return to the stable, you can either log off (make sure your pet isn't targeted though!) or go to the stable and use the command "Stable". Pets tamed on water, Water Elementals and Sea Turtles, cannot be stabled. They are automatically released as you log out.

You can tame a creature while it is attacking you, for druids it is made easier, as they can calm and then tame, without being attacked by an enemy or accidentally wrestling it to death. Note: Increases in taming don't increase your likelihood of taming a creature, they only allow you to tame more powerful creatures. Your pet will only be loyal to you, as long as you do not force it to kill enemies, much stronger than itself. It will defy, whenever it is asked to attack a creature more than four levels above its own level. The Charm of Loyalty can be used for low level creatures, such as wolves, to add one level to that of the enemies, they can attack, it will not work with higher level creatures though (rough estimate: 7 or 8 + ), due to its nature.

By right-clicking the collar it will go into your character's tool-slot in the profile. Cycle between weapon, collar and mining cell with TAB. Just get close enough to the creature that you want to tame until you see the green X. Use the collar on the creature as long as it needs while the green bar fills - from 10 seconds (non-aggressive surface-creatures) to 1 minute (corrupted creatures). Most creatures will not be happy with being tamed and will either put up a fight, move around and/or run away, so you will have to use different strategies to make them hold still and/or let your character survive the whole time you'll need for taming. To safely tame creatures you can cycle them carefully like when fighting them, or stand on a ladder to tame them. Hitting creatures with a weapon or bomb additionally to taming will not be of any help! Keepas (and common green Leafies) will run away, so you will have to come up with different strategies for them. Leafis are slow runners and will often take a break, but to catch Keepas you can try to cage them in or lure them into pits (3 blocks high). Stun Bombs might be a very good idea too. As soon as your pet is tamed, it will let hearts fly into your direction. You can right-click it or interact with it to open it's pet-window. Pets become immortal, so night creatures or cave creatures will not burn in sunlight as Pets. Currently there seems to be no limit of pets you can have. Best would be to make your new Pet follow you now - ideally to some secluded area so it won't wander off from there, and you will be able to find it again quickly. When outdistanced while following, Pets will teleport to you, they can follow you through teleporters, and can also teleport to your touchstone with you. Except for rare occasions when bugs might hit and make Pets stop following you - they will usually return to where you have tamed them in this case and still be marked as being your pets. After reaching your corrall, always set Pets to "Stay"! Currently a bug can make Pets "vanish" (or return to where you have tamed them) if they are set to "Wander". Rarely Pets that were told to "Stay" can even be set back to "Wander", so then you should quickly tell them to "Stay" again. Pets can also be dressed with a Hat and/or a Bow if you like and have already found some. Your Pet can be dismissed anytime. It will then vanish after leaving a Loot Bag containing whatever usual loot this creature would normally drop if being killed. Next thing you will want to do is to feed your Pet (for the best harvest you should try to give it it's favorite food like shown in it's pet-menu), then harvest from it when ready (no power cell needed) and afterwards clean it with a Washer, to be able to repeat the cycle as long as you want. To feed it you will most often need to grow crops though and craft a Cooking Station too. To craft the Washer you will need Obsidian (bars).
