* sort: OPTIONAL - Used for sorting pages alphabetically if they have an article as the first word in the name (ex: "The Guild of Things" would have "|sort=Guild of Things" added into the information, like any other line). Name of Guild: The Duskrider Dragoons Website: None at the time Guild Master: Derek Vasilis Renn Contact: Vasilis, Dahlton Level of RP: Light to Heavy. Varies from casual chats to full on Roleplaying skirmishes against Horde fortifications. RP "Newbie"-Friendly: Yes, though some basic experience preferred. Our Third Marshal will be in charge of training 'newbies' in the ways of Roleplaying, and the First and Second Marshals will help enforce those standards. Requirements/info: We require an open mind and a semi-professional attitude OOC. ICly we require all of our members to be trained in Equestrianism (read: need a mount) to progress any further than 'soldier.' We hope to fully implement the upcoming 3.1 Argent Tournament's Mounted Combat system as well. Please note that we focus on a Light Cavalry outlook: roleplaying gear for those under the rank of Dragoon is preferred to be the 60% speed mount unless in combat, as well as chainmail or leather armor. This is to give us the sense of being a Light Cavalry unit, much like the Rohirrim of Lord of the Rings, or the Ulhans and Jinetes of Medieval Europe. We require horse mounts or ram mounts for RP purposes. If you are a level 60+ night elf, gnome, or draenei and have a saber mount, elekk, or mechanostrider, we will help you to either accomplish the desired rep for a normal mount or the Black War Horse or War Ram PVP reward. The Argent Dawn Horse and Ram will work as well. This is to give a sense of uniformity. A force of cavalry on Elekks and mechanostriders is less intimidating than a charge of horse-and-horse-like animals. We will also consider those with Talbuks. This is not meant to discourage, but to give a feeling of immersion. While cats are cool and we can all now ride Mechanostriders, a cavalry is viewed as horse-mounted. Plus the cats move too much to be truly intimidating. A force surrounding Crossroads on horses is very statue-esque. Please note that the mount and armor requirements are for RP purposes only. In battlegrounds and other situations which require full gear you may do so without question. We don't want you to feel like you are obliged to forever look like a horse-mounted lancer. We just prefer it to maintain our image as a ragtag cavalry militia: Light, quick, and cheap.
