The Union of the Great Plains is a constituent of the North American Federation, bordered on the east by the Mississippi River, on the North by the 49th parallel. It is descended from the Farm Federation, later named Central Coalition, region of the former United States. The Union tends to be rather conservative, and to stick to their own affairs, playing a disproportionately small role in the Federation government The Union consists of the following states:

* Iowa
* West Kansas
* Kansas
