Captain Sullien was the commanding officer of the T'Pau in 2268. That year, he transported Dr. Threllvon-Da and his team to Alnath II on an archaeological expedition. Shortly after the Alnathian jewel was discovered, Sullien, along with the rest of his crew, were granted what they desired most, to become beings of pure intellect free from physical bodies. When the Vulcans' bodies were discovered by the USS Enterprise, a new Klingon weapon was initially suspected, although Spock eventually realized the truth. (TOS novel: The Klingon Gambit)
