I bought them for 1g in the mp from a developer. I was vending and i saw them being put out for 1g and like any other vendor, i pounced on them and mangaged to get them. I tried to message the developer who sold them and he ignored my first pm. i pmed him a second time but he didnt even read it. then i went into the exchange to try and sell it but people told me not to sell it. I pmed an omni mod about the situation but someone else beat me to it and they let me know that the situation is being investigated. Others believed the Developer was hacked and had sold the item. I just have to sit tight and wait for the mods to investigate and figure out whats going on. -------------- I am currently wearing the lens and i decided to show them off a bit before the mods take them away. -------------- What i really want to know is.. wear did these lens actually come from? I heard that only admins and developers are only allowed to have them. GD, please tell me where did these lens come from? DO NOT TELL ANYONE YOUR MAIN. Phew! Okay, now that that's out of the way, let me give you all the skinny on the Alien Contact Lens. The Contact Lens were NOT made in 05, like the description states. They were 03 test items with that date, and weren't leaked until late 04. The items apparently have some layering glitches, and the staff was just too focused on other projects to ever fix them and release them. Notice how the eyes go over your avatar's hair? That's part of the item's glitch. Now, you heard earlier about how some items that do not exist, have LITERALLY been deleted off the specs. The only place they live is saved onto user's personal computers as pictures, and in Wishlists of those who have silently added them and refuse to delete them. The items are NOT supposed to exist. Owning the items is grounds for termination. WEARING the items is ground for termination. Telling people about the items is grounds for termination. They aren't supposed ot exist, and the longer people talk about them, the harder time they are having deleting them. They will NEVER be releasing the Contact Lens as items. You're better off not discussing the item anymore. Remove all information posting your main, report the item to a DEVELOPER, namely Juno and she'll sort this mess out for you, and if you're smart, hopefully avoid the banhammer. But if you don't fear the banhammer, then by all means, live this damn item UP! I Have Problemz Posted: Sat Jan 17, 2009 4:44 pm those were test items back in 03. they were going to be released but people added them to their wishlists before they were released. gaia asked everyone to remove the items from their wishlists, members didnt.. so gaia decided not to release the items. You do not get banned if you end up with them.. you only get banned if you try to sell them. I ended up getting a pair of Alien Contact Lens in the mp. Someone had hacked a Developer and sold the lens for 1g. I pmed the mod about it, they only removed it from my inventory. I was rewarded 5k for not selling them too.
