| - Amir Sarifar is an elven wizard and the only Master left of the Lex Arcanis. He always wears a fine red robe he seems very fond of, and constantly brushes imaginary dust off its shoulders to keep it clean, even though the robe appears to magically clean itself from dust and dirt. His health is poor, his skin appears pale and dry, his eyes are sunken and he often coughs and sometimes bleeds from his nose and mouth. It is speculated he has some strange disease or even curse, but Amir, being as arrogant and vain as only an elven mage can be, has remained tight-lipped to the reason of his poor health. His mental health has also been questioned, as the illness also has affected his mind. He once even thought he had become Talonir Riv, a dead human wizard who lived north of Pinedale.

Amir was once a fugitive of Frostkeep and Tarloc, after he killed a woman in Ashrindale, which led to his capture in Frostkeep where he killed two guards and fled. However, when Frostkeep and Tarloc were about to go to war, he offered his services to Frostkeep and were reinstated as Master of the Lex Arcanis to train a force of arcane warriors for Frostkeep's defence, since the Lex lacked an active, capable Master. Jullafield Myzel, the only other semi-active Master of the Lex resigned from the Lex at Amir's sudden return and allowance to train an arcane force by the Duke, believing this went against the spirit of the Lex - the Lex Arcanis was not meant to be a military force. Amir has not chosen any new Master to take Jullafield's place.
