John Cooper (c.1841 - 30 August 1906) was a businessman and local politician active in the Croydon area. The son of a publican from Felbridge in Surrey, Cooper later lived at Tandridge Court in the village. Cooper was a boot manufacturer and owner of John Copper & Sons of with factories in Croydon, London, Leicester and Northampton. He moved to Northamptonshire in the 1890s, where he died aged 68.
