The Chorus of Shoktofen was an all-Quaffan choir from Shoktofen, a major port city on the Quaffan homeworld of Rai Korobolt. Quaffans lacked traditional vocal cords, instead stimulating their three facial tentacles to produce sounds which mimicked a variety of languages. Speaking their own tongue, however, they communicated in a largely humming language; their songs had similar characteristics. When they discovered this humming, musical drone was pleasant to alien ears, a number of enterprising Quaffans formed the Chorus of Shoktofen with the goal of performing throughout the Golden Empire.

The Chorus took off, performing all throughout the Empire, including some special underwater concerts on Laikeer, Vytuia, and Bosys. After winning fame for themselves, the members of the Chorus became celebrities on Rai Korobolt, and many donated some of their earnings to various charitable causes. The Chorus also performed a special concert in 150 ABY and dedicated all proceeds to relief for victims of the Reawakened's depredations in the Nightmare War.
