"Bang!" The young boy shouted at the top of his lungs, and in the very same instant he released his arrow. His words rang out into the darkness as the arrow pieced through the heavens. The two actions came close to being simultaneous, but his voice was not only faster, but came out first. The sound alerted the figure the young boy identified in the darkness and out from the tall grass flew out a serpent with rainbow colored scales. A New Dragon slayer had just been born.

  • "Bang!" The young boy shouted at the top of his lungs, and in the very same instant he released his arrow. His words rang out into the darkness as the arrow pieced through the heavens. The two actions came close to being simultaneous, but his voice was not only faster, but came out first. The sound alerted the figure the young boy identified in the darkness and out from the tall grass flew out a serpent with rainbow colored scales. The serpent was small and had no wings, but its body flew magnificently. Five claws marked its hands and the long whiskers on its face gave testament to the blood of the dragon flowing through its veins. However it was not a large dragon, or even a generally small dragon. It was merely a child and as a result it was no large than your average garden snake. With time and age it would grow big and mighty, but time and age was not it's side. The young dragon was enjoying its nights slumber and waiting for the dawn to arrive, but before dawn's glorious light could radiate its magnificent scales the young dragon was awoken from its slumber. "Bang!" The word rang through the night and the young dragon was thrown from its slumber. Caught off guard the dragon immediately began to flee to the sky. Their was always protection in the heavens. The dragons ability to fly protected it from would be predators, however today that protection was revoked. The heavens could not come between the young dragon and the reaper. As the young beast rose toward the now blue sky the late arrow pieced through the heavens. With perfect timing and accuracy the arrow pierced though the eye of the dragon and found its resting place in the black of its skull. The day before the young hunter fired a arrow and its scales sent it flying off in another direction. The day before that the dragons flight and control over the wind threw the arrow against a tree, and the day before that famous encounter the young dragon had eaten the young boy's dinner. However today was young man's day and his arrow hit its mark. Like a twig falling from a branch of a tree the young dragon fell to the ground. Its body still and the life drained from its body. The young dragon that would one day rule the heavens was brought to the earth and as a result it was no more. "Alright!!!", the word shot through the air just like the arrow. The passion and pleasure found in the words radiated through ever wave. "I got it, I got it",continued the young lad as he jumped up from his crouching position and threw his fist into the air. It was a pose he had seen so many times in his comics he could not but help repeat it himself. Alas he had forgotten his own limitations. As the boy came down his legs, tired from sitting in the same position all night long, gave way to his body. Like a rock falling from a bridge the young boy's bottom hit the dirt. However the pain that radiated though his body felt the great grin on his face never vanished. With a wide smile the young boy knocked the dirt off his pants and stood back up. Kicking his legs to wake them back up the young man moved to claim his prize. A New Dragon slayer had just been born.
