| - Anyah Jharaea is a human Bard of Sa. Born in a small, once-nomadic village in the mountainous regions past Rathan, Anyah's childhood had been spent poor but happy. Realizing early that her calling in life was that of an entertainer, rather than a Heart Cleric like her mother or a blacksmith like her father, she spent many cold candlelit nights performing her plays for family and friends. As she grew, so did her fathers popularity as a blacksmith and the family wealth. Her mother and father became enraptured with the thought of becoming “upper class.” Her joy for performance transitioned from heart-felt entertainment to necessity during the numerous soirees hosted by her mother (who had all but given up her healing magicks to, as Anyah puts it, “sit in a circle and lace doilies all day, idly talking about the weather”). In her late teens, her beauty had caught the eye of the soldier that helped further along her father’s business. The man, although significantly older than she, had secretly been promised her hand when she turned twenty-one. Shortly before her 21st birthday, and after years of harassment from the soldier, she learned of her predicament. In anger, she ran away from home to escape an arranged, loveless marriage. After a few trials and tribulations, she happened upon Spur, which she decided to call home. Shortly after her arrival, she met Talivar Halleck, Aradath's Master Bard and became his apprentice. After Talivar's untimely disappearance(s), she was reluctant to take over the Guild and has only recently accepted the title of Guildmistress. She upholds this title by holding recitals, and assisting ameteur bards. Anyah has a gift of the melodramatic (theatrically, politically, and most notably relationship-wise). In fact, she has been called "Queen of Melodrama" by Changeman Shadowlurk; a title she's taken to heart. Much like Teef Brigand, Anyah has been known to fall for the San Elf. These relationships usually end catastrophically. Her marriage to Spite Frostfell lasted a mere month; a tryst with Treyfalgar Fraswey also ended abruptly; her on again/off again relationship with Quint Brigand has continually proved to be rocky. She has also been tied with the human merchant Rurik Leuthari, whom she was almost engaged to. When he disappeared, Anyah waited until she thought him dead. At that time, she began an affair with the human Barracuda Krow. Presently she and Quint are "on again." And if that is not melodrama, she'll ask, "What is?"
