Burt the Bashful is a character in the Super Mario series. He first appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. He is located at Burt the Bashful's Fort, and is the mid-boss of World 1, and the first boss of the game. He is a Burt that got transformed by Kamek. He walks from side to side, and Yoshi has to crouch in the holes in the ground and throw eggs at him.

Each egg hurled at it causes its pants to drop down a little and his face will become redder and redder. When he loses them completely the battle will end. The Burt Bros. from Yoshi's Island DS are similar to the Burt the Bashful.
