Hyde changes into his EM wave form, called Dark Phantom, and captures the hero's friend Luna as a hostage. He takes her to the top of IFL tower and the hero, Geo Stellar, confronts him there. Hyde speaks in reference to a script, playing off the movie he just interrupted. After being defeated, he promises Geo that he wrote other places to bring fear to the masses in his script.

Hyde is very private about his life outside out of the music world, and released his birthdate in an interview in March 2002 of Rockin on Japan. He joined L'Arc~en~Ciel in 1991, before that he was the guitarist of the band Jerusalem's Rod.

"HYDE" is a anime exclusive character modeled after L'Arc~en~Ciel singer and lyricist Hyde who voiced the character in Episode 21. Hyde also translated and performed the song "EUPHORIA" by Vamps from their second studio album: "Beast" into Japanese since the original song was written in English. "EUPHORIA" was used as the song Koogy sang before announcing his hiatus. It has been reported the song will appear on Vamps seventh single " Memories/Get Up" that will be released on December 15, 2010

- Recuerdo la risa que me daban los goticos,yo antes de morir,les llamaba cucarachas. Yo era un heavy melenudo. Algo raro y misántropo.
