Ghota 'Maharm, known as Ghota 'Maharmee before the Great Schism, was a commander in Jul 'Mdama's Covenant. His brutality during the war earned him the moniker of the Golden Terror. Once a General in the Covenant military, he served ruthlessly during the Human-Covenant War and was responsible for many atrocities. After the Prophet's treachery was revealed he was disgusted at the notion of allying with the humans and joined Jul Mdama's Covenant in the prospect of power and conflict. Joining as a mercenary and commander, he was responsible for numerous losses on the humans during the Requiem campaign, including the loss of Spartan Fireteams Apollo and Matchlock personally. After the brutal deaths of Fireteam Matchlock at his hands he was finally assassinated by the members of Spartan Fireteam Loki.
