Medicine Hat is a city in Montana and is the county seat of Howard County. As of 2010, it had a population of 83,457 and the 2012 estimate was 86,145. It is the fastest growing city in Montana since 2000, taking advantage of the main campus of the Montana State University system being located in the adjacent CDP of University Center and the recent natural gas boom in the central United States.
