Padrilkistan was the colloquial name for the South of Padrilka, Beiteynu between the 1960s and 2006. It was predominantly Muslim, at its height containing nearly 40% of Beiteynuese muslim population, and was marked by extreme poverty and vast slum areas, with as much as 80% of the cities inhabitants living in slums and nearly half of the population unemployed or unable to find full time work.
