Steven Andrew Short (born April 6, 1954 in Roseville, Minnesota) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. He played 6 games in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings and Detroit Red Wings. He briefly played for the University of Wisconsin in 1972-73 and for the junior Minnesota Junior North Stars in 1973-74. He also played for the United States in the 1974 World Junior Championship. The Philadelphia Flyers chose him 142nd overall in the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft while the Phoenix Roadrunners picked him 105th overall in the 1974 WHA Amateur Draft.
