| - Lemon Balm is a seed available for planting on FarmVille. Originally on release, Zynga stated this seed required a Permit to plant, however within a few hours, that was removed.
- Lemon balm is in the mint family, and it has a soapy, citrusy odor. There is some research showing it to be a calming aromatic for some people, in particular agitated Alzheimer's patients. It does not work for everyone, but it works for some. It is very vigorous, which is to say, some of your neighbors might not be too happy with you for planting it. But if you have good tilth, it is not that hard to get it out, and you will at least feel rather clean after wrestling with it. submitted by swirlingtheuniverse@gmail.com

- Wikipedia Article About Lemon balm on Wikipedia Widely available in Europe, this herb has lemon-scented, mint-like leaves that are often used to brew an aromatic tea (Tisane). Its slightly tart flavor is used to flavor salads as well as meats and poultry. Also called simply balm. It grows to 70 – 150 cm tall. The leaves have a gentle lemon scent, related to mint. At the end of the summer, little white flowers full of nectar appear. These attract bees, hence the genus name Melissa (Greek for 'bee'). In mild temperate zones the stems of the plant die off at the start of the winter, but shoot up again in spring. Its flavour comes from the terpenes citronellal, citronellol, citral, and geraniol.
