Sonichu was a fan Web Comic created by Christian Weston Chandler, starring (at least initially) the eponymous Electric Hedgehog Pokémon and his friends. Sonichu started as some sort of Pokémon/Sonic the Hedgehog crossover world, and the first few issues focus on Sonichu's origin, his meeting with his "heartsweet" Rosechu (based heavily on Amy Rose), and a supporting cast of other Hedgehog Pokémon of various types. But in issue #2 and from issues #4-7, the series crystallizes into its present form, as Chris-Chan takes center stage, standing his ground against, among others, evil mall cops, a malevolent witch, and internet trolls.

The comic gained notoriety when the creator of the work posted personal information about himself online. Since then, there has been a backlash against the mostly-unknown webcomic. People who generally discuss the comic also discuss Chris whenever Sonichu is mentioned, and it never ends well. Not even this wiki is exempt; this page went so deeply into his life that it became more of an attack against him rather than an informative page. Because of the extreme negativity and flame warring that occurred, the main page had to be locked. However, this sandbox page is still free to edit.
