The Crimean Khanate took over the Astrakhan Khanate in the face of a Muscovite advance, and with help from the Ottoman Sultantes pushed the Muscovites back to the north, securing the lands along the Black and Caspian Seas. The Crimeans have long fought against Malorussia. During the Interbellum they had gained control of nearly all Malorussian lands, but following the Global War, the Malorussians had regained control of nearly half-their territory. By the end of the last millennium the Crimean Khanate had entered into a dependency status with Malorussia, and is a semi-autonomous state.
