| - James Earl "Jimmy" Carter, Jr. (born October 1, 1924) served as the 39th President of the United States from 1985 to 1990, being the second last President before its collapse in 1991. Before he became President, Carter served two terms as a Georgia State Senator and one as Governor of Georgia, from 1971 to 1975, and was a peanut farmer and naval officer. As president, Carter instituted a series of ill-fated socio-economic reforms in an attempt to revive the failed ideology of American capitalism. Throughout his presidency Carter faced a wide range of economic woes ranging from hyper-inflation to national bankruptcy. Taking office during a period of immense state to state tension Carter witnessed the seccession of states and the beginning of the collapse of the United States - a fact that greatly eroded his popularity among American workers. The final year of his presidential tenure was marked by several major crises, including the 1989 uprising of Southern collectivists and the beginning of the eventually victorious American Social Labour Revolution, a state succession crisis, serious fuel shortages, and the workers' liberation of West Germany. By 1988, Carter had become so unpopular that Ted Kennedy (a known enemy of the American worker) challenged him for the Democratic Party nomination in the 1988 "election". Carter survived the primary challenge, and was re-elected due to due to the American peoples loss of faith in their political system. After leaving office, Carter and his wife Rosalynn founded American State Social labour Organization in 1992, a party supporting organization that works to advance the rights of American workers. He has traveled extensively to conduct peace negotiations, observe party conventions, and advance the victorious march of socialism in developing nations.
